Summer Gathering 2025

... it was a camping residential at Gidleigh Village Hall, Dartmoor
Here are some pictures from our weekend:
lnterbeing means “co-being”. You cannot be by yourself alone. You have to “interbe” with everybody and everything else. For instance, if you look deeply into a flower you find it is made of non-flower elements like sunshine, clouds, rain and soil. Without these non-flower elements, a flower cannot exist. So it is better to say that the flower “interbes” with the sunshine and it cannot be by itself, alone. It is the case with humans also. I am here because you are there.

We spent the weekend as a community, cooking and eating together. The location, near Dartmoor, lent itself to eco-somatics, not just being in nature but being nature. Together we shared the awareness of the story of separation that is at the heart of the illusion of the western world. Through movement and being we embodied the experience of "interbeing"

Meet your organisers:
Ali Rose completed the IBMT diploma programme in 2022. She has been an assistant on the Embodied Anatomy module (2022-2024) and the Somatic Psychology module (2023-2024). Ali is currently assisting on the Infant Movement Development and Authentic Movement modules (2024-2025)
Ali works as a somatic therapist in Chepstow and Bristol.

Laurence Yeoman is working towards completing his Diploma. He works as a movement practitioner in the Exeter area. He runs a monthly Dance of Awareness group in Crediton and offers somatic enquiry sessions in Exeter.
